Sounds cool and dont get me wrong i would LOVE 3rd person, its my game style of choice (division, wildlands, tomb raider, horizon zero dawn are my top 4 games of this gen and possibly of the last few gens) but flipping between the 2 works if you only have to do it every now and again but what about looking at maps or compass when you can keep checking every couple seconds etc. 3rd-person+1st-person for exploration, melee 1st-person for guns, maps, inventory, player interactions+communication. Now, I'm not saying 'SOT' has to include all of the above features, but I am suggesting a system that can be used to enhance gameplay for everyone. One can equip weapons, or modify them for more damage. Add the tossing of a ship on the waves, and it basically becomes an exercise in vomit-restriction. You, also interface with your inventory in first person. My girlfriend really wants to be able to play this with me, but first-person games make her motion sick extremely quickly. The entire game is played in first person, so you dont have it. The key difference is that, all gun combat, and puzzle interactions are in first person. Unfortunately, Sea of Thieves does not have a third-person perspective. You can,even, perform melee combat in these modes. 'Long story, short.', the game features both camera modes, in a 'strategic way.īasically, you have your choice of exploration in first-person p.o.v, or third.
