The Greatswords seem to be able to handle themselves against most enemies but will lose against the same tier units or certain units like monsters and specialised units from the other factions just like the regular infantry the Empire has, avoid using Empire infantry as a spearhead of your armies or you WILL lose or take very heavy losses, that's not what they're meant for.Īnyways, just my two cents on the matter. The Empire's basic infantry (swordsmen, spearmen) are more cannon fodder than anything else, it's rare that they win 1v1 engagements without support. You're not meant to win direct engagements with the Empire's infantry, they're more of a distraction or diversion and are meant to fill in the gaps of your armies when you have enough of the support units that you want. Having trouble right now with them trying to figure out how to not lose 1/2 my infantry from those damn greenskin fanaticsĪs i've said before guys, the Empire's infantry often NEEDS support from their artillery, missile units, specials and whatnot. Yeah Empire is just pretty good at most things and not fantastic at everything.
